2024 Grant Invitation Report
By the grant deadline of October 31, 2024, the Foundation received a record number of applications – a total of twenty-two.
One was found to lack a 501c3 and therefore ineligible. After preliminary reviews, we contacted six applicants and suggested changes to make their applications more likely to be funded. Four of the applicants chose to modify their requests.
On November 10, 2024, the Board reviewed the grant requests and subsequently, approved nineteen of them.
In the context of our five funding priorities, the following approvals were made:
- Purchasable Goods and Equipment. Computers (5), outdoor winter shelter, surgery table, traps for TNR (15), vet equipment (including scales, exam table, microchip scanner), cat towers (6), calming beds (8), small dog kennels (6-8), washer, dryer, dishwasher, waterfowl shelters (2), and office equipment.
- Veterinarian Services. Many requests for spay/neuter (and related services), emergency medical services, and full panel blood workups (10).
- Building Code and/or Licensing Compliance. Ceiling tiles (code compliance).
- Pet Supplies. None.
- Other Items. None.
Total funding approved: $36,098.99
