Online Grant Submissions
The Foundation Board of Directors invites eligible animal rescues, shelters, and related organizations who are Michigan-based 501c3 or public entities to submit grant requests.
- Around September 15th of each year, we send grant invitations to organizations we have previously funded (or have asked to be on our Grant Invitation List).
- The deadline for submissions is October 31st.
Our Funding Priorities
This funding is competitive. Awards are based on proposals that best fit these funding priorities (i.e., #1 is our top priority, #2 is our second highest priority, etc.):
- Purchasable Goods and Equipment. Please specify goods/equipment needed, the purpose, and the cost.
- Veterinarian Services. Please specify the number of services (e.g., spay/neuter services) and cost per service.
- Building Repairs and/or Code Compliance. Please describe funding needed for sanitation, safety, ventilation, temperature control, etc.
- Special Needs. Other items may also be considered, if they are your greatest need.
Restrictions:
- Requests for pet supplies (food, kitty litter, etc.) are our lowest priority and are unlikely to be funded.
- Funds cannot be used for salaries.

Funding Requests Outside the Funding Cycle
If your proposal is time-sensitive and does not fit within our normal funding cycle, we may still consider it. You are welcome to contact us to discuss it.
